About
Hello.
This is a personal and anonymous journal where I explore the world of financial intelligence, portfolio construction, and financial engineering.
I’m not a professional investor and this site isn’t meant to provide financial advice. Instead, it’s a space where I document my own learning journey: what I’m reading, testing, modeling, and thinking about as I develop a deeper understanding of how money, risk, and strategy intersect. I started this because I have a professional financial planner, but over the last several years I have felt a nagging feeling he isn’t doing his job particularly well for the rate he charges.
🎯 Why I Started This
I created this journal to:
- Reflect on how my investment thinking evolves over time
- Track predictions, mistakes, and outcomes - good and bad
- Build intuition through code, data, and experimentation
- Share reproducible tools and techniques for forecasting
This is part learning lab, part accountability project. It’s a working notebook made of markdown and models.
💼 What You’ll Find Here
- Notes and thoughts on portfolio theory, asset allocation, and ETFs
- Code and walkthrough for optimization and forecasting
- Reflections on market behavior and my own emotional responses
- Analysis of my own portfolio structure, changes, and performance over time
I’m approaching this like an engineer: curious, skeptical, and systematic. Some posts will be polished, others more like raw sketches. All of it is part of the process.
